Hey,

I need more info before I can help you. Are you programming with a computer? Are you trying to program a P25 system or what?

What program are you using to program it with? If it is Freescan, zip the file and upload it and maybe I can help you get it straight.

If you use Freescan, try the file I created. Unzip it and load it into your scanner.
Attached Files
File Type: zip TN Knox.zip (1.8 KB, 25 views)

Do you have all the latest software/firmware updates etc in the scanner? Make sure all those are set up. Then reload the Knox County file and see how it works. How is it doing with the other things your trying to scan? If after trying all else, manually program in the Knox County/Knoxville TRS.

Can you not get the conventional frequencies to work?
Try to program these in to see if it works:
462.98750 245 DC Rural/Metro EMS Dispatch Ch ALS
463.18750 271 DC Rural/Metro EMS Dispatch Ch BLS
They are constantly on one of those two frequencies.

I have this system programmed into my 396XT. What issues are you having?

You have the latest version of firmware, not sure what is going on though. The file should have worked, everything is there that needs to be unless I have missed something also. If you do get it going, make sure you post the solution.

Let me ask you this, do you have the scanner connected to an outside antenna? Even then, you might be pushing the limits of the reception of the Knox County TRS.

854.4125 is the control channel at this very moment. Check to see if its programmed in. It probably is if your using N4YEK's file. Tune to 854.4125 and see if you get the control channels info on the screen and note the signal strength.

Like Danny says, the trunking system does not have the range the conventional systems in Knox Co has and I see your in Maryville. I am on the fringe of the trunked system myself and it does not come in good enough for me to monitor here although I can hear the Fire and EMS/Medcom channels fairly well. You may also have an antenna issue. You could probably drive to Knoxville with it and it will work.

I really don't know what to say. If you have already verified by holding on each of the control channel frequencies, and you aren't getting any signal, I'm kinda stuck on suggestions. Make sure you have all of the CC frequencies in the scanner.

854.4125
857.2125
858.2125
859.2125

I tried to send you a PM but it says you have chosen to not receive PMs. If you want to PM me, that would be great otherwise you can email me at TriComFeed@gmail.com.
Sorry about that.

-Dan

Edit: I didn't realize that you said you can't send PMs. Feel free to email me. Thanks!
