Default Bradley County and Cleveland, etc.

I visit the Cleveland area a good bit for work and monitor Chattanooga and Bradley Co. Are any agencies in Bradley currently using the Tenn. Valley system - 700 mhz ? I have a 396T and noticed that I am not hearing much on CLE PD conventional channels. Is Charleston still active on 155.67 ? Sounds like Chattanooga must be simulcasting on 800 and perhaps the digital 700 given the way the audio sounds.

All Bradley County (Cleveland included) agencies has switched to the TVRTS. They are using the conventional frequencies as a back up, and from what I understand some of the fire departments are using the conventional freqs as a fire ground channel when they are on the scenes of fires.
Cleveland PD made the switch about a year ago to the TVRTS full time and has since completely quit using the VHF conventional freq 154.785.
Can't answer the question as to Charleston, since I don't travel that way as much as I used to. I do know that I can hear a lot of Bradley and Hamilton traffic in Knoxville area now that they have switched over.

Cleveland PD is using the 800/700 TVRCS, but CFD and all Bradley County agencies still use VHF for primary traffic. They have talk groups on the TVRCS they use from time to time for chit chat, or "admin" type traffic. Bradley County EMS does use the 800/700 system for talking with Skyridge Hospital.
BG..

I stand corrected. The last time I was down that way, I thought I heard a lot of traffic on the BCSO TGID on the TVRTS, maybe it was just a lot of chit chat I was hearing. I knew that Cleveland had switched over, and I guess I just figured they had all switched over. Thanks, Butch for getting it straight.

Looks like the good 'ole days are over. I've been visiting may father since Friday, March 8, and I miss the analog audio of Cleveland PD. I never have liked digital audio... doesn't sound natural to me. To me, it's like comparing tube radio audio to transistor radio audio.... tube audio has always sounded better to me.
