Default THP UNIT NUMBERS

Does anybody know the unit numbers for the Tennessee Highway Patrol or at least the format the unit numbers fall into (range xxxx-xxxx). Particularly the Fall Branch division (5th district).

Thanks

Default THP unit #s

First two digits are District #, ex. Memphis units are 44xx

4400 District COMMANDER
4401 thru 4409 LT's
4410, 4420, etc. SGT's
441x, 442x, etc. Troopers

hope this helps,
Don

Default THP units

As a rule a SGT. is assigned to a one county patrol district, so he may only supervise five to nine troopers. HQ. districts, such as Memphis, has unit #'s 441x to 443x. Some smaller counties may be consolidated under one SGT.

Hope this explains it more clearly.

In Grundy County, there are at least 2 SGT's in the area. Maybe 1 for each shift. Grundy falls under the 4200 District, is one of the smaller counties in Tennessee.
