Cibolo SWAT Police Incident

Cibolo SWAT and police have a jeep surrounded outside of Metro Ambulance at 129 Commercial Place, Schertz, TX.

It sounds like the occupant of the jeep has a gun in his/her mouth and police have it surrounded. Incident has been going on since at least 21:00.

More details have been discussed on air, including SWAT positions.

It is in Schertz. They changed to pd ch 2 tg 12104 on the LCRA p25 Live Oak site.

They have moved to frequency 219 - carried on Schertz PD Channel 2.

County negotiators are speaking to him on PA system. Occupant appears to be on the phone with someone.

Listenning also on Schertz PD CH-2, heard they are trying to let the other Metro Ambulance employees
leave the property in their own personal vehicles. I wonder if the Area PD SWAT P25 TG #12036 is active?
Also, if the GCSO is involved, I just got home, caught this post and then turned on my scanners.
Last I caught, the officer told another officer if the lights are not turned out, that he will start shooting them out!
Also, heard an officer talk about seeing from the air, so I am tunning in also for the SAPD Eagle and DPS Helos.
Situation escalating, guy making threat if his way is not clear to leave, he is going to do something .....

The incident may not actually be at the Metro Ambulance location on Commercial Place. I think it is actually BEHIND the ambulance company on Windy Meadows Drive. Earlier, they were letting some ambulances in and out. I seriously doubt they would let that happen if it was on Commercial Place.

He's on the run toward FM 1518. He does NOT have the gun.

He went behind a blue building on Windy Meadows - police have recovered the weapon, but they do not "have eyes" on him yet.

A negotiator said to focus on telling the guy that "you don't want your kids to grow up without a daddy".
Schertz PD-2 just said he's got the shootgun and he's running and they cannot let him get away !!!
It's all going down fast now ... SWAT in body armour has him surrounded ... he went towards FM1518.
The just got him in custody and PD just said that they got the weapon away from him at 11:15pm.
Schertz PD just called for a 51 (tow truck). They just said that they are using Roadrunner Towing Co.

Mike they tried to use the SWAT tg. Not all of the Schertz officers have that tg. So they used PD ch 2.

Did y'all hear this part toward the end?

"Hold everyone, hold - that was a bean bag round..."

"we have no eyes on him"

"they think he's back in the jeep"

"saw his head move - he's behind the jeep - by the spare tire"

This all happened about 5-10 minutes before he took off running. Not sure if they hit him with the beanbag round or not, but it was not what made him run.

Schertz and Cibolo Swat guys are part of the GCSO combind SWAT unit with Seguin. They can access the Metro SWAT channel for the other towns on the P25 system but for mutual aid help

Thanks I know that. I heard a Schertz officer say that he didn't have the SWAT tg in his radio we will use ch 2.
