Is it Waco PD or DPS Waco? I have note that is was DPS Waco. If it is Waco PD, has DPS also been heard on Waco site? Do you any TGs for DPS Waco?
Thanks,
Russell

I see that you have put this as being Waco PD dispatch. This is not dispatch. 2421 is the new channel H for the new TxWARN P25 System
for Waco PD and yes I thought this was DPS at one time until I actually went to see who it was, I found out it was Waco PD. No I do not have any new ones for DPS, yet.

Around approximately 1500 hours, I heard a very short voice transmission on TG 2415. Could not determine agency or location. More later.

Again, what I heard today was someone sending a unit to the 1100 block of Oakwood which is located in Waco as previously mentioned. I heard no call signs or identification otherwise. I will keep listening and gathering information.

Texas Wide Area Radio Network (TxWARN) Project 25
I have been monitoring Waco ETMC for a while. I noticed that everytime Baylor has a game, I hear them talking on TG 2430, dispatch will tell them where the person is hurt. They are saying "Move the cart where it is needed." At the end of the game, they will say "Are all carts loaded?" If they are, then they will go back to TG 3740 which is Waco EMS dispatch and tell them they are loaded. I need help identifying what TG 2430 is.

Noted. I will monitor 2430 as well. I've heard similar transmissions regarding "carts being loaded."

2342 appears to be a Wharton County fire tactical channel but I don't know of the exact designation.

TG 3655 active this morning. Monitored: dispatch to Houston County Nursing Home; dispatch to Providence Park Nursing home, Waco; EMS dispatch sending unit to 2990 North Broadway Avenue, Tyler; dispatch to county road 2278, Italy; and Dispatch sending EMS to Good Shepherd in Tyler. I am assuming the dispatch in question to be Tyler ETM dispatch.

Ensnared TG 3655 shows to be EMS DISP Central I have not figured this one out yet, sounds like to me it's Tyler's dispatch. I only pick up this TG sometimes, mostly on the weekends early in the mornings. I have also picked up TG 3660, which is ETMC air-1. I don't hear this very often, I'm trying to figure out way there are days I can hear them and days that I don't hear them at all.

TG 3655 has been very active today. I live off of highway 84 in Woodway. I have heard transmissions all over the place this afternoon, Crockett, Waco, Italy, & Tyler. Very clear transmissions have been monitored on this talk group.

JR,
You may not be hearing ETMC Air-1 unless it's making a run close enough that it's radio affiliates with the Waco tower (possibly in addition to whatever other towers may actually be closer, say Athens for example).
On the old analog system (for the minute, the Ellis County site is still up), I generally did not hear them unless they had a flight either into the DFW area proper (say Parkland, or Children's Medical), or perhaps Kaufman County.
Only a guess here: Perhaps Tyler EMS dispatch handles the "off-hours" of lower activity, nights and weekends, using one main talkgroup for all areas. Days, when there are more calls for non-emergency transfers, there may be additional, more localized, dispatchers with separate talkgroup ID's.

Ellis County site?
This evening, I am still picking up a control channel on one of the old Ellis County frequencies on ETMC's analog system, 868.4875.
However, for the first time, I am now, also, hearing what may be a new control channel on what would be one of the "rebanded" frequencies for the Ellis County site, 853.4875. Maybe they are finally ready to convert that site fairly soon. I know, in some of the other areas, when they converted the analog ETMC sites over to P25 TxWarn sites, they used the "rebanded" frequency assignments. Not getting a real good signal on it, so I'm not seeing any site id details. This signal was not present Saturday, I don't believe, which was the last time I checked for activity. If I get a chance, I may take a drive down there this weekend & see what I can get from a closer range.
The sound is different than the analog's system CC on 868.4875, & resembles the sample sound for a P25 control channel.

It could be the P25 digital test pattern which wouldn't contain any ID or tower info. Still a sign that the move is forthcoming. Coming up P25 on the rebanded frequencies is a common tactic. Plano is doing the same thing.

Is it a good indication that I am hearing analog TG's whilst encryption is occurring on other ones? I don't know. I've never experienced a communication migration. For those of you who have, please, share your experiences. The suspense is killing me. I don't want to be limited to fast food monitoring. Ha.

1520 hours: TG 2420, heard initial encryption, then heard clear transmission with someone instructing about six different units to turn on "protected voice", but I could not hear under what conditions this was to be done.
