Default Fort Worth TRS - replacemet tower going up

Rolling Hills - The tower has arrived on flat bed trucks. Might be fun to watch this 500 footer go up.

10-02-10 Sorry for the lousy quality of the image, Cell phone takes crappy pictures.
If you look closely you will see a couple of construction workers on the tower. The base of the tower is 50 feet from leg to leg.

Can't tell from the picture, is this tower going to be painted red/white like the old tower or not.

Went by the tower this evening and took a better picture. It now has a gin pole on one of the legs to do the lifting now that the tower height is above the reach of ground based cranes.

Taken earlier this week. New tower now taller than the old one. When they top off, there will be a crows nest on top to hang antenna's on.

Here is a picture from today:

Name: rh_tower.jpg

Nobody working on it today, there were three people up on it yesterday and I saw them put up at least one full section in the afternoon, they may have done more in the morning.

If I remember my camera maybe we can see if they do anything tomorrow.
