Tg 12081 is UC Fire. In Schertz they have a tac like tg they call it Fire 1. It is tg 12097. I thought that all of the cities have the same kind of tgs. The all call tg idea might be what the LCRA is doing.

Here is a list of tgs that might be used for all call tgs. All of the tgs are showing up in my pro96com log.
12040 Live Oak Fire All Call
12054 Selma Fire All Call
12066 Converse Fire All Call
12080 Universal City Fire All Call
12094 Schertz Fire All Call
12110 Cibolo Fire All Call

You're referring to the location map in the RR database right?

If so, that is the default location for all the unknown sites for this system so far (search the other two also). Don't assume it's in Comal County just for that reason.

Didn't hear a thing from this all day, and couldn't pick up a cc. Don, have you confirmed the cc and site number from listening to it or are you just seeing it in Pro96Com logs?

Pro96com is showing it as a neighboring site for the Live Oak site. It is also showing the old New Braunfels site. I can't hear site 120 from my location in Schertz.

12080 I have only heard one time when the system first came online and I heard "Bexar Fire Alarm to UC Fire, Fleet Test" Never heard a reply. On one of the Converse Fire Tac channels I heard them doing training with Camelot and San Antonio Fire awhile back so city and county fire have access to the P25 system. Truck 1 could be anyone.

Ok, someone will correct me, but if I recall correctly, just because it is appearing as a neighbor does not mean it is broadcasting (as is the case with the New Braunfels site right now).

So, that might be why none of us can hear it, it's planned as a future site, or the site is down.

This is possible through LCRA's VIDA switch, which can connect analog EDACS (hence the older 900MHz LCRA TRS and the LO TRS), digital EDACS (ProVoice; and supports ESK PV), and many other disparate types of systems and can connect them to a P25 system. That's how all of this is able to happen...

This is what I've been calling back door interoperability because you have to use some workarounds to be interoperable. I don't see San Antonio going P25 for awhile because they've have this capability through LCRA.

I know the last time i ran pro96com on the New Braunfles site site 122 was not showing up as a neighboring site anymore. If they are not using them why do they show up?

Since these are all computer controlled processes, it could be as simple as typing the information in to a program so it (the site) knows where to look for the neighboring sites... remember these things aren't linked by radio, but by data lines- the input has to be put in by a human at some point.

I've never programmed a trunking system from a SysAdmin side, only as a consumer trying to program the trunking radios side (... and then, only EDACS).

Thanks. It would be nice if the sites were online so we can find them.

Agreed. I tried to listen out for your "Comal" site again today, and it is not up. Considering we're experiencing better range with these 700MHz sites, I would have expected to hear it if it was online (and in Comal County).

Don I posted a problem with the PSR 500 and the 700mhz band awhile back and how it shows two different freqs for the same control channel. For example it will show 770.28125 but will also show 770.284375 both with the same ID of 981. That may be what is going on with the 770.18125. I can't get anything on that here in Selma

I'm not sure why GRE put the 3.125 kHz step capability in their radios, they aren't used (yet) and the radios aren't selective enough to separate them from adjacent frequencies.

Thanks. Pro96com is showing this frequency. It is not my radio.

Tg 12112 is a Cibolo FD tg. I am going to guess that it is Cibolo Fireground.

A Cibolo officer was testing his radio on tg 12117. I am watching out for this tg to show up again so I can ID it.
