Exclamation Help Programming Scanner- Multiple Areas

I would like to find someone that could possibly teach me how to program my Radio Shack PRO-106 scanner. I have programmed in where I actually live, but I travel and would like to scan on the go. I would like to program multiple areas into my scanner, but I am unsure how. I would pay someone to Skype in, call me, or even possibly meet in East Texas/Dallas next time I am in (Starbucks for free anyone?)

If this is not the appropriate forum, please redirect me!

The Win500 program is a great way to program the Pro-106. I have one myself and that's all I use to program it. Win500 is pretty user friendly as well and is great if you have a RadioReference membership, because you can import the frequencies directly into it from RR. That is the best way to program the 106, because if you start doing it manually from the scanner it takes ALOT of time, seeing how there are so many options that you can put into it. You can buy the cable from RadioShack to program it. It runs around $30, but that was when I bought it about a year ago. Not sure if they have changed in price or not.

I'd also recommend reading up on the win500 software. I have used it for years and love it. Blake, read up on the V-Scanners, which is basically using EEPROM to re-flash the memory with a different personality. I use V-Scanners for my travel folders (I believe there are 20 on these scanners), and basically mine cover a few counties or one large metro area, and as I travel through I just switch between different memory files (V-Scanners). They're really easy to read/write through win500.

Welcome to RR.
