Default Bastrop County fires

Anybody hearing anything on the NIFC command repeater channels?
National Incident Radio Support Cache - The RadioReference Wiki
Last April at the fire up here that wasn't as big they had the Civil Air Patrol flying airborne repeaters for every day for over a week. They used 168.100 at that time. When the federal command post took over they were also using 166.9375 and 168.0125.

I'm in Austin. I haven't heard anything from the Bastrop fires. The Steiner Ranch fire was pretty active on the Austin/Travis County system as well as some of the 800 mhz interoperability channels. The fires in Pedernales and the Hamilton Pool area were active on both the Austin and LCRA systems.

Having just gotten a GRE PSR-800, all I can recommend is to program in those interoperability channels that you don't think anybody ever uses. These once-in-a-lifetime incidents are almost exactly when they come alive. It was incredible hearing the Steiner Ranch IC talking about Dallas FD units coming in.

The state ones are here
Common/Shared Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

The Austin/Travis County system has some of their own. They are listed under Misc System Information here
Greater Austin/Travis Regional Radio System (GATRRS) Trunking System, Austin, Texas - Scanner Frequencies
