Default DPS Conroe?

I've began noticing lately that the DPS Conroe Huntsville repeater is carrying traffic for DPS Houston (callsign KKC588). Does anyone know if the Conroe office was closed?

Well I found this statement on the Texas DPS Communications webpage:

"Sept. 2010- Announcement made by LESD Assistant Director Mike Simpson to consolidate Communications facilities. Three (3) stations: Sulphur Springs, Lampasas and Conroe stations will be closing by 12-31-10. Seven (7) other stations: Sherman, Texas City, Beaumont, Ozona, San Angelo, Childress and Harlingen will be closing by attrition."

So that makes it more clear which are closing and why. It would appear from this statement that Conroe Communications has been closed for about 10 months.
