The apparatus lists are not readily-accessible public information, which kind of makes sense since they are privately-owned and work almost exclusively on private property. The firefighters themselves are state-commissioned and train at TEEX up in College Station alongside volunteer and paid municipal firefighters. And they can and have responded to incidents on public property at the request of that agency's fire chief.. one particularly nasty incident back in 2003 involving a collision between two tanker trucks carrying molten sulfur and gasoline on SH 225 in Pasadena comes to mind.
The new system will be TRBO. Don't know what that means for HFD Hazmat, who have the analog channels programmed into their department radios, or the plants that use non-Motorola conventional systems (if you listen in at 6:00 PM check-in time you can hear a plethora of MDC600, MDC1200, GE-STAR, Kenwood Fleetsync, and DTMF ANI signaling.)
