Rowlett help please.

I have a Radio Shack Pro-164. I live in Rowlett and get nothing but static when my scanner stops on a Rowlett (Garland trunk) frequency. In Rowlett I can pick up Dallas Fire and Dallas Police, DPS, sometimes DFW airport, and everything in between. Why am I having such a hard time with Rowlett?

The Garland system has been rebanded. Did you program the system as rebanded in your scanner (and is the scanner running firmware v1.6 or later)?

I'm pretty new to this. I have uploaded the Garland trunk with Rowlett in it from this site through ACR-300 software. How do i check the firmware version?

Looks like I'm running ver 1.03 firmware.

Just upgraded to 1.08

Thanks UPMan. I upgraded the firmware and uploaded all my frequencies to my scanner. So far so good. No static at all. Haven't had any communication on the Rowlett frequencies yet, but it is scanning.
