Default Guadalupe County P25

Howdy folks, just wanted to drop a note to those who listen to Guadalupe County Fire. The system turn on is near for the new P25 system for the VFD's. The potential is there to turn to P25 by this weekend IF all goes well with tuning and testing. Some testing is ongoing now. A little refresher.. tone out paging will continue in analog mode on the current frequencies as is currently. Once tone out complete, all further traffic will be in P25 mode.

Thanks for the update..Noticied the SO South channel is still patched from the nextedge system and also saw the P25 DPS channel 155.4375 for the county is now simplex. I have also been seeing SO traffic on 155.8275 coming across a lot more(hard to make out what any unit numbers are from my location). SO still seems to be all over the place.

yes SO is still kind of working the ins and outs of the nexedge system. more changes to that side of the county's system are in store. I forgot to mention that the 5 tac channels are narrow band analog and the New Berlin repeater is also narrow analog now as well.

south is 2A5. I think we have finally worked the majority of the "bugs" out and are settling down with the new system. Mr. Harkins, the Fire South repeater has been moved further south and east. Please let me know when you have a chance if you are able to hear it. happy New Year to all of you and let us give thanks for a little moisture!
