Looks like instead of hopping on the Houston public safety system, Pasadena has opted to build out their own countywide simulcast: ULS Application - PubSafty/SpecEmer/PubSaftyNtlPlan,806-817/851-862MHz,Trunked - 0005514970 - PASADENA, CITY OF
Start looking for P25 control channels on the following freqs: 853.8875, 853.6375, 853.3875, 853.1375, 852.8875, 852.6375, 852.3875, 851.6375, 851.3875, 851.2375, 851.1375

This may still end up being a networked site on 1A7 RFSS 3. Look for P25 Phase II voice and widespread encryption.

Interesting, I wonder who is going to sell them an analog simulcast as nothing is licensed for P25 (or any form of digital)?

That looks more like finally getting around to filing the paperwork to back up the re-farm of the frequencies impacted by the reband and breakdown of the downtown site. Remember that a lot of the analog TxWARN system was licensed to entities around the Houston metro area. Galveston, Missouri City, Ft Bend, etc.

If that were purely the case, then why include the new tower site at 1201 Davis? Besides, Harris County already held the license pre-rebanding: ULS License - Public Safety/Spec Emerg, 806-821/851-866 MHz, Trunked License - WQNM971 - Harris County I.T.C.
Uh, not exactly. HC ITC also held the frequencies, but they came from Pasadena to begin with. The FCC site is woeful when you want to dig into history but Pasadena was renewing that license with those old frequencies back in 2002. See here, which presumes they had the system running back in the 90's before (then) STARNET began the "big gobble" and they were assimilated. :)

New development: Pasadena fire units requested to bring their "new APX radios" to the stations so "the City" could "update" them. Still don't think anything is transmitting from the new tower at the new police station.

I have it on good authority there is nothing new P25-trunked-wise transmitting from that site, yet. However, expect to see a new site in the 1A7 site 3-3 (Houston southeast) simulcast transmitting from there in the next month or two. I'm also told that eventually there will be a 1A7 site 1-52 simulcast site added there as well.

I heard a similar story, plus the possible future repurposing of the current Moto site.
