Default callsign Troll-01 air band San Antonio

I heard this airplane talking to San Antonio approach, as it went into Kelly AFB. Just wondering if anyone knew what it was. Thanks

Default Troll callsign

An older callsign database I have shows Troll is used by the two groups below. My guess is that it was a T-1.

TROLL T-1A 48th FTS/14th FTW Columbus AFB MS
TROLL A-10, 23 FG Moody AFB GA

I think I heard the same air traffic last night on LAFB Tower 124.3000 ,,,, about that same time frame.
I think I recall hearing the pilot say to the tower that "I will be out of your airspace very soon", etc.
Didn't catch anymore than that ... but lots of Air to Air Helo Chat on 123.0250 between what sounded
like the News Helicopters or perhaps between Media-1 (Sky5+Sky12) and the SAPD Eagle Helo ?

Probably a cross country T-1 training flight - pretty common.

SALT-28 came into Kelly field yesterday afternoon - he's a USN E-6B Mercury out of Tinker AFB. Fueled up with 70K pounds of fuel and moved on with TACAMO duties

A lot of interesting traffic comes in an out of Kelly Field, including the 433 AW C-5s (callsigns CHILI and UHAUL), the 182 FS F-16s (numerous callsigns but all F-16 training), C-17s and 787s from the Boeing Depot, KC-135s for air refueling from the Boeing Depot (Callsign SPUR). There is also a semi-regular 747 Cargo a/c that flies from Guantanamo Bay Cuba to Kelly Field with Kalitta Air, LLC..

I don't think it was a T-1, I seem to recall they were out doing VFR activity and returned to Kelly. T-1's are (by their nature) almost all IFR training aka approaches, etc etc
