Monday my HP-1E was in discovery mode and logged a new TG # 38020 (w/125 Hits) in the clear radio testing.

A radio tech just kept saying "Test 1,2" rekeyed and said just "test 1,2" over and over checking LCN's
Only these 2 RID's 16312 & 16313 were recorded from 9:58am to just 10:41am Monday.
I was only monitoring the SAUA Site # 14 site (Austin Hwy) and can't say if S#15 (Topperwien) or other sites were active ?

38020 9484h D SAUA 38020 - Talkgroup 38020, radio testing (RID=16312 & 16313) - Tag = Interop

I already submitted this new TG. Any ideas on this TG and or RID scheme ?

From my experience those RIDS are radio techs from Daily Wells..Seen them before on the SAUA system and on the SA/BC system on a few analog Talkgroups. Were they calling the channel anything or is like the LCRA guys and have a set number of "test" talkgroups.

Hmm, strangely I logged 39043 BCSO West Disp (w/286 hits) and 39065 Tx DPS C (w/213 hits)
however no voice recorded not even CWID tones. Strangely enough I have to "Turn Off Compare to DB"
if I want my HP-1E to record voice traffic. You would think that this toggle would only effect whether I got text tags or not.

Ha, gives new meaning to the term "Wildcard"

Here is a little etrunker hint: Everything that is either new or undocumented is coming through the feed.

Please lQQk at it this way ... it's a .... wait for it ..... a GREat way to ducument UN-ID and NEW TG's !

Default Talkgroup deletions

I recently deleted a bunch of unidentified talkgroups from this system (the ones checked in the image below), per DBA Handbook policy. These can be tracked in the Collaboration Wiki for this system if y'all so choose to do so.

Boo Hiss .... I would have left these Skeleton TG's in the DB as they were
as this way MORE people would be aware of what TG's have been seen to date !
It's also easier to track hits and activity on these TG place markers to speed up ID'ing them

ps ~ John, thanks for adding the new sub-category for the San Antonio Fire Department Talkgroups

now right below that we need to loose the out of place heading of "System Talkgroups" ... don't need it any more.

This system is scattered with talkgroups and they seem to change a lot, also everything listed is not hard patched 100% of the time. I have seen the SAFD dispatch or three different talkgroups over the past year or so along with the random mutual aid channels. The SO talkgroups are the only ones I have seen as consistent when they are patched which is still random at best. I think only confirmed ones should be listed in the database for now, and by confirmed I mean an agency heard on the same talkgroup on a regular basis when patched and not just heard once and submitted to the database.
