San Antonio Urban Area Initiative Overlay (SAUA) 700Mhz Interop TRS

Techs were testing earlier this week and today ... did anybody else catch any traffic ?

I just caught a guy saying something like "are you up on Gold (or Eagle?)" ... too bad I didn't get more !

These are the TG's I caught testing traffic on today. I got over 40+ hits just today on these TG's.

Un-ID TG # 39844 Group 39844 1
Un-ID TG # 39845 Group 39845 8
Un-ID TG # 39877 Group 39877 ?
New Talkgroup ID Group Wildcard 52 (ps ~ Don't forget your wildcard to RX new TG's)

Below is the P25 digital system link to program and start monitoring and help documenting:
I will get Pro96com running to keep an eye system activity such as AF's, TG's and Patches.

I heard some on the LCRA P25 Live Oak site. I haven't heard anything on the SAUA system. They must not be on the NE side of SA.

Unfortunately, the SAUA TRS TG # 39844 said "are you up" in the clear and then went encrypted ... (RID=6047639).

On a good note at least I am able to map out all the undocumented extra site channels today.

Site # 014 SAUA P25 TRS (Austin Hwy)
770.28125 c
771.40625 v
772.88125 v
773.53125 v
774.65625 v

Here at home I can only RX Sites 13,14,15. The other SAUA Sites 11 & 12 are a no go from here.
It would appear that there is only activity on S#14 (Austin Hwy) and no logs for other adjacent sites.
As I hear traffic on S#14, I have Pro96Com on S#13 and S#15 to analyze and there is no activity.

I just heard on S#14 TG # 39845 testing traffic in the clear. Just 2 brief key up and a few words.
Don I doubt S#15 Topperwein will show anything ... you should see what you log on S#14 today ?

On a side note, I am also hearing lots on keyups and interop traffic on the SA/BC Gold TRS today.
With such TG's as 14-065 LCRA-SA4 Interop - a guy just said "Test Test 123" as I type this post.

Don, try again to TUNE to 770.28150 CC SAUA Site # 14 ... I am getting 99% you should
try to move you antenna / location around to see if your S # 14 reception can happen ?
Well it seems that the SAUA S#14 has gone quiet for the night ... nothing in over an hour.

This is what I logged on on S#14 tonight
Un-ID TG # 39110 Group 39110 1 D
Un-ID TG # 39111 Group 39111 2 D
Un-ID TG # 39844 Group 39844 24 (Mostly E mode, a few D modes)
Un-ID TG # 39845 Group 39845 2 D
Un-ID TG # 39877 Group 39877 1 D
NewTG AusHwy S14 Group Wildcard 3

ps ~ I just heard on the BLUE SAPD say that the bomb squad gave the all clear to let people back in
to that area of the NIOSA where they found that suspecious backpack just over an hour ago now.
On a side note, I did not hear much related traffic during the process of clearing that threat.
Perhaps the bomb squad has another radio system that they used while on NIOSA location.
Off course I was only monitoring ALL the BLUE TG's and did not think to check the GOLD TRS ?

Thanks Mike
I can hear site 14 from my location. I get about 10 to 15% decode rate. Pro96comm will work with that amount of data rate. I will be running pro96comm on the LCRA P25 Live Oak site tomorrow. We will see if they are testing tomorrow.

Haven’t heard any testing on the LCRA p25 system today. Has anyone heard testing on the SABC or SAUA systems?
Thanks
Donald

From my house I only have RX of SAUA sites 13 (SAFD FTA), 14 (Austin Hwy) & 15 (Topperwein).
I decided for testing purposed to program all the SAUA sites seperately to better gauge site usage.
In the last 12 hours I have heard and logged nothing on both the SAUA site # 13 and site # 15 period.
In the same 12 hours there was voice traffic and lots of affiliations just on Site # 14 (Austin Hwy Tower).

Un-ID TG # 39110 Group 39110 1 Hit
Un-ID TG # 39111 Group 39111 0
Un-ID TG # 39844 Group 39844 10 Hits
Un-ID TG # 39845 Group 39845 0
Un-ID TG # 39877 Group 39877 0
NewTG AusHwy S14 Group Wildcard 0

ps~ There were only 2 RID's seen with Pro96com today. ) RID# 6047639 and RID#6047639

btw ~ I am still patiently waiting for my submission to be worked to add the extra site # 14 LCN's

Hey, lots of SAUA Site #14 (Austin Hwy / 770.28125 CC ) testing traffic this morning in the clear.

Some examples of what the tech said: " Test of LCRA-SA_5" which I believe was on TG # 39845 ?

Also later heard the tech say: "Test of LCRA-Talk" (Reminded me of the LCRA EDACS days & TG's)

All testing this morning was by the tech using RID # 5150841 on TG's 39841,42,43,44,45,73,87 etc.

Finally, all testing was on SAUA S#14 ONLY, all other SAUA sites .... forget about it as they say ;)

That is strange they would only test on site 14 when the Topperwein site is right in the middle of Live Oak(LCRA P25 territory now). Also as I posted in the LCRA P25 discussion during the search of Cibolo Creek for that missing kid the Schertz Fireground TG was patched to SA 1 on the Live Oak P25 site and also patched to the Topperwein BC/SA Provoice site as TG 3 on there side. I never thought to check the SAUA sites to see if the patch was running through there also.

I checked the SAUA sites over the weekend. I didn't hear anything. I was loging on the new LCRA P25 site this morning.

I checked my SAUA S#14 TRS hits and there were over 104 hits just on Tuesday alone.
The system seems well balanced as each LCN had exactly 26 hits each via Pro96com.
At 11:30pm I could swear there was a keyup on SAPD 14-033 Hailing 1-common Blue TRS
and the SAUA TG#39846 (or 39845?) S#14 simultaneously. Nothing spoken just a quick keyup.
Here is is 12:25am and I just saw RID # 6026052 affiliate with TG # 39873 on the SAUA S#14.
I heard from a source to expect use of the SAUA TRS to ramp up. Maybe other SAUA sites to follow ?
It really helps speed up my research to have several scanners each dedicated to specific systems ;)

I think I have found all of the LCRA SA interop tgs on the LCRA P25 side. I have been listening to site 15 of the SAUA system. I haven't heard anything.

The SAUA activity is set to outpace yesterday with already 100 hits and it's not even 3pm yet.
The radio tech (RID#5150841) just talked on SAUA S#14 TG 39843 and LCRA-SA2 TG#14-063
on the Gold TRS at the same time. The he hit both SAUA TG 39346 and Hailing 1-Common 14-033
on Gold together. To many little examples going on to even try to give a play by play report ~ Later :)
