....maybe they are just quiet.

My listening post in near Denton, TX. What freqs should I plug into my scanner to monitor the various Air Medical EMS companies.

Thank you

CareFlite is mostly on this trunked system:
Megahertz Technology Trunking System, Dallas/Fort Worth, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies
That is a DMR (MotoTRBO) system, so you'd need a scanner upgraded to handle that format, or use a PC and one of the SDR dongles.

I do occasionally hear them on what they call CERN, 464.1000, PL 23.0, and less often on the aircraft frequencies, 131.450 (Dallas County) and 131.675 (Tarrant County).

For Air Evac and PHI, I do hear occasional traffic on the frequencies listed on the Medevac page. Medevac Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference But the radio traffic is much less than you'd hear on the TRS that CareFlite uses.
