All of the 65*** are patch groups used to patch channels together from outside or within the system, you can disregard. those, they are not the true talk group for a given channel.

Understood, what confused me for example is TG:65495 had tone out for South Hays Fire while TG:5634 (SHays FD/EMS) was not active until after the tone out. Patches just seem confusing for this novice, Unitrunker has a tab for patches but I haven't seen anything descriptive and OP25 (what I'm currently using) is pretty bare bones. Thanks for the info though!

For the talkgroup about snipers and Hostages, I'm pretty sure this belongs to ACC Austin Community College. they have been doing exercises this week.

Would ACC be patched to the LCRA P25 system? I know they do have a campus in Kyle if I remember, so I guess Hays County SWAT would be the responding team for that campus.

Google Shows an ACC "Goodnight" center Campus off TX-123. It was their own ACC Campus police doing exercises but may also involved a "police class" and other agencies. This talkgroup would be like one of their backchannels. San Marcos Goodnight Center (SMG) | Austin Community College District. Also a Hays Campus in Kyle 1200 Kohlers Crossing Construction for Hays Campus Phase 2 is underway on new First Responder Training Center. Hays Campus | Austin Community College District

Texas State University also hosts ALERRT which is a law enforcement training program. They are especially active when campuses are closed and they can do practical training in large buildings.

I have been getting San Marcos PD, Hays Fire, Hays SO and more from the 55/56 range quite regularly on the Bergheim tower. Can anyone closer to the Hays County towers see if they are still just patching or if some of the users may have actually migrated off of OpenSky?

What I was told awhile back from someone that use to work for LCRA was that a user with an affiliated radio on the system has to be on the P25 side channel for Opensky channels to show up on the P25 system( unless a dispatcher creates a patch for interop purposes.) Hence the randomness of when talk groups show up. I also have seen at least on some of Hays and San Marcos fire channels P25 radio ID's pretty regularly. So some of the FD units are staying on the P25 side.
