I build the same one, but added 8 legs instead of one. works very well

Building antennas is fun, and the NanoVNA helps eliminate a lot of the calculations/guesswork!

I also have the nanovna h4, my ADSB can pickup out to around 100 miles, also it's in side my shack

I'm gonna try it outside next weekend, still got some things to try to it...

the SWR goes down with less angle of the radials...around 10-14 degrees seems the best.. 1.0 to1.3 swr is what i been seeing is the readings.

Getting it outside should make a big difference., 1090 MHz doesn't penetrate walls, that well. I have my ADS-B antenna outside on a fascia board right at roof level. Not perfect, but I'm picking up aircraft as far as 200 nautical miles away.

And.. But I'd turn off the Smith chart when reading simple SWR Makes for a less cluttered display.. (That's my obsessive compulsiveness speaking)
