#1 Male

Hello.

I live in VA but work in MD. I've been scanning on my commute and in whatever county we happen to be working in. Question. In Balt. City and in DC you hear references to a "Number one male" or sometimes "Number one female." At first I thought it was like the first male, second male, ect., but I've heard "Two number one males" and "Three number one males." Anyone know what this means? Thanks.

I believe #1 refers to a black person and #2 refers to a white person.
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

You may also hear it as "Code One"... and if you may even hear things like "I got a couple codes I'm watching here" on the stakeout channels...

And in Mtgy County, Code 6 is Hispanic.
