Today I just happened to be scanning around the bands below the normal amateur radio 145-148mhz range and came upon a net in progress on 143.975mhz with a CTCSS of 145.2. All of the stations seemed to be military in nature according to the call signs.

This net went on for at least two hours and heard the mention of Andrews AFB, Dover AFB and others so it has to be some type of regional net.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this. It sounds like it is at the very least a weekly net. They also mentioned switching to different frequencies, but would use phoenetics instead of numerics so I'm sure someone out there must have a listing of their frequencies....

143.975 is (or was) a MARS frequency. It used to be Army but I understand that now all branches can use eachother's VHF frequencies.
I quit USAF MARS over 10 years ago so I don't have a current list of frequency designators any more.
You probably won't be able to find one because MARS frequencies are FOUO the same as CAP.

Thank You Very Much for the reply Tom. I thought it was probably MARS but I wasn't exactly 100% sure of myself.
