Here is an interesting one..... fired up my PRO-197 and decided to run the close call for a bit. Here's what I found:
155.520, only listings I could find are police agencies, none local at all. (per FCC search)
This "signal" beacons 1/2 second every 5 seconds so I programmed it as an LTR system to see if it had any luck. "1-01-65 and 66" were frequently displayed, and this frequency isn't in the trunk pool........
the chatter is definitely a taxi service, I'm scratching my head on this one. I recorded the morse ID twice to make sure I wasn't misreading it...... ZUFAH..... doesn't make any sense, I know it's not some weird ducting from South Africa, so what gives? An illegitimate repeater? This isn't making sense to me.

Identical transmissions on 150.125 even same beaconing, fliped between the two freqs and couldn't detect an audio delay, but will listen to them both with another scanner, I'm figuring one is the input which is not listed with the FCC either . sometimes I'll hear them on the wildcall object, sometimes not. I hear everything when listening as conventional objects, just have to put up with the beaconing. So this seems to work as LTR sometimes, but not sometimes. If I got false talkgroup info, would I get the same two over and over?

Sounds like a transmitter spur from the 150 MHz frequency, or an intermod product with another transmitter on some other frequency.

I've been trying to see who they go through, your site had a freq for them that was actually part of Leo-Macs LTR system. They were on that repeater which is 30 miles away, and Leo-Mac has dissolved / been bought out. Now whoever they go through seems to be here on the watertower in Fulton (along with a lot of other rf). Probably Pfeiffer/Mobiltech who has an LTR system up there. Trying to correlate their system with the transmissions I am hearing. (none of which are their system freqs). But that leaves the "ZUFAH" ID...... I have 2 recordings of it. Not even a valid callsign, but that ID is given out in morse every half hour at :15 and :45.

Now I'm getting somewhere. Fulton taxi is on Mobiltech's Fulton LTR system WQJE618, far cry from ZUFAH. The 2 output freqs are 151.865 and 151.925. Seems I get a crystal clear simulcast of the 151.925 frequency on 150.125 and 155.520 (as noted on 3 different scanners). Seems there are some issues with the systems up there at the watertower, also the site of WPYI944 (licensed to Terry Pfeiffer, but looks like he is just the owner or whatever of Mobiltech)

Thats at the water tower, and is the primary Time Warner radio system that pheiffer owns. Leo Mac was sold to JPJ and as far as I know all the LTR repeaters are still up ( 3 from pompey hill and 2 channels from rose hill).
