• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I am hearing what appears to be an AZRC (Arizona & California) repeater on 161.460 that I have never heard before.

I am 5 miles NW of the White Tanks and it appears AZRC has a license for a base on this at Smith Peak about 35 miles west of Wickenburg and 50 miles NW of me.

Does anyone know if this is replacing a Road channel or just repeating it?

Well, I did some legwork and it is indeed the Arizona and California. I was confused for a bit since they ID as ACR on their recorded detectors.

I took a ride out to Parker and confirmed it but as I was on the way I heard the radio installed talking about it.
