Hearing on 162.6575Mhz (Narrowband) occasional dispatch type operations and a possible mention of "Engine 3" - Fire Ops ? - any ideas ?

162-174 Mhz is 95% controled by the FEDS [NTIA] not the FCC, so only 5% of those will be found as they are
either Media channels or the two Part 90 exemptions. Then you have the few [Maine as an example] states where
they ran out of normal channels and petitioned for Railroad and Federal Channels for the state VHF TRS

Double check the Freq as the Gov't portion is 12.5 Khz channel spacings.

162.6000
162.6125
162.6250
162.6375
162.6500
162.6625
162.6750
162.6875
162.7000

And unless someone is bootlegging, likely an IMAGE.

What Make/Model and Tone is being RCVD?

South Weymouth NAS long Closed and they [in my fadded memory] were the LOW VHF High [138-150] and the town still uses One of the channels for the Wireless Fire Alarm boxes

Nothing that close to Whitman till you get to Cape Cod and they are 162-174 and Hanscom AFB is 162-174 and a new UHF TRS

Going to go with an IMAGE [waiting on the OP to indicate his monitoring device] or bootleg :) would not be the first Bootleg found
Possibly a Military base in the area? I think Weymouth AFB is closed, but many military bases use that area of the spectrum for their FD ops. Just a thought.

AT this point I am wondering if its not an image or something similar - I was not in a area that has anything else to mix with generally speaking and was stepping thru the 162. NOAA WX Stations just to see what would work at a particular residence and this popps up - RX was a Beofang GT3 . - just kinda strange I may add it to the scan list on a couple different rigs see what happens.
