#1 - check your Heatsink and fan for dust clogs. use a compressed air can to knock the dust loose, fire it from the outside in, and then through the fan port under the base outwards, repeat a few times. if no air can be felt with top side of hand ( more sensitive ) then you have a "blanket" of dust. time to remove the HS and clean it thoroughly. 1A: check your Thermal Compound and see if its still good. if its "cake" in texture or powdery dry, replace it. i use Arctic Silver 5 exclusively for everything i do and i LOVE it. if your not comfortable with doing this, find someone who is like a friend who has IT experience. DO NOT!! go to Best Buy or Office Depot or any of those places.... if you DO, be warned...... a 20$ job is now going to be a almost 100$ or greater job!!

if you are comfortable with the above process, remember!! PAPER THIN application of Thermal Compound. use a razor blade or putty knife to spread the TIC as thin as possible with still 100% surface coverage of the CPU Die.

#2 - check your laptop vendor website for the software and driver package that runs the webcam. download the software package and install. should fix your WC.

Well you can clean the PC of its dust bunnies if that dosent help then consider a new video card something of the 2 - 4GB area for gaming.

Laptop webcams can be fixed with updated drivers and software, if not then suspect hardware failure and you can try to find a replacement camera online and replace it yourself or have a PC shop do it for you.

Easy. I have a small $15 fan sitting next to my PC blowing on it the whole time. Even set to low it works wonders keeping things cool. Like the others said, you could uninstall the web cam and reinstall all the software from the Company website of your PC. Just about every PC made has a page at the manufacturer website and has YOUR webcam, drivers, bios downloads and everything else. I keep a copy of my LAN and WLAN on a USB for my pc from Gateway for when I do a clean re-install of Windows. I myself took the WEBCAM out as I don't want it or need it, but at GATEWAY, I just look up my PC and found the downloads and drivers and all the Webcam stuff I need to reinstall it is there. Your PC surly has the same thing

normally it is located inside the chassis. some models allow easy access through the bottom access panel. most do not, and require dis-assembly of the entire chassis. if you are not comfortable with it, do not try it, you will most likely FUBAR something during dis or re-assembly... then you are stuck with a dead laptop.

youtube has plenty of tutorials on just about every known laptop from users and IT Pros. again though, if you are NOT comfortable doing this, take it to a repair shop or someone who has IT knowledge and repair skill.

the vent for the fan is normally on the side of the laptop and looks like a car grill. some are behind the chassis between the LCD and chassis. the intake you already know. is the vent on the bottom.

im suspecting you are asking me where the actual HS is because its still overheating.

does your laptop have a graphics device ? or is it a IGP ( Integrated Graphics Package ) based on the CPU? if it is a mobile graphics card, it may have two heat sinks or a fairly large one, which would definitely require base dis-assembly.

depends on the model of the laptop. only the highest end models have the MXM or PCI-E slot that even support the 2GB - 4GB models of VRAM Cards. and those are going to be the 7 series or higher cards for NVidia based. and R2** series for AMD based.
