2 Firefighters hurt in fall through hole in floor

Not sure where the fire is, I assume somewhere in the Seattle area. I don't have a trunking scanner yet, so I catch bits and pieces.

First Odonell fell through the hole, then Obrien did. The Obrien radioed for help saying that he had 20% air left and that Odonell was unconscious. He also said that they would have to rescued from the basement.

Just heard that they got to them and both are concious and have been given new air, they just need help getting everyone out of there.

Sounds like training, your post was from around 3 PM and it is now almost 7 PM and this story has not been on any of the local news online or on TV.

I've been there before. Got in on the middle of a training exercise and heard all kinds of horrible things... but then I noticed a pattern. Every hour the same "horrible things" kept happening. I wonder whatever happened to the practice of preceding radio transmissions with "training" or "exercise" during drill events?

I have too the 1st day I could not believe what I was hearing by the 2nd day I thought what the heck it was the same thing as the day before and by the 3rd day well I had to tell everyone at work how come it was not in the news. and I agree they should state that this is training a few times while they are doing it, I now know that they do at the Beginning and end of there exercise.
