I just got my hands on a 12-pin FPC/FFC adapter board and I’m planning to use it to interface a small display to my MCU setup. But before I wire it all up, I wanted to ask the collective wisdom here.
How critical is trace impedance / spacing on those FFC fingers? Do I need to worry about signal integrity (especially for high frequency or parallel data lines)? When soldering or mounting it, how do you avoid damage to the flex cable or connector? I’ve seen small flexes get kinked or damaged in these adapters.
