I am currently using Winamp to output my 1 scanner to a shoutcast server. I have 2 soundcards in my computer and was wondering if I could output another scanner from that computer since I have 2 separate soundcards?

What about running one instance of edcast stand alone but setup two encoders, one for each feed?
You'll need to run two copies of Edcast with each one installed in a different directory (so that they can keep their settings separate). You'll have each instance of Edcast configured to use a different soundcard. You can't run just a single instance and add two encoders to it since you can't tell the encoders to record from different sound cards.

Good call, Gordon. I hadn't thought about that. I was thinking that he would be able to specify the input source when he setup the encoder but you are correct, he would still need to run two instances in order to be able to specify which soundcard to use.

Not exactly what's being discussed here, but a tip for other folks to keep in mind:

I help manage an online scanner, streaming via shoutcast. We considered at one point running two radios at the same time by using a stereo/mono adapter. One radio on the left, the other on the right. Might be useful for folks who end up in this thread.
