Very cool.

I had a real a55-puckering ride in one of those when they first came out. (1999 for the E39 ///M5 iirc)

His Nav system was still programed to take him to the Peeler nearest his home. They really do ride like butt on their stock suspension when you are not boogieing. Washboardy, described by many to be cavalier-like. But when its time to hustle, you cannot beat it.

A real sleeper too, (not this one!) unlike the new V-10 ///M5 which looks like it is going to tear you to shreds. He picked the right car for sure. If you want to hustle cross-country and not be noticed, this is the way to go! Those V8s like to blow up at exactly 60k miles though no matter how badly you punish it. Put it on a pedestal, it is the most perfect large car ever made.

This guy is awesome, he is one of the few "smart" drivers in the gumball circuit. He knows exactly what the law is looking for and how to avoid making himself noticed...he doesn't weave in and out, he's always on top of the weather and conditions, he even has a spotter plane! I bet he is a safer driver at the speeds he drives than most people on the road doing the 'legal' speed limit!

Ah, yes -- very nice, very professional.
I think the gear in the car probably equals the cost of my car! =)

Why??

Why would you put all that stuff in a BMW? What do you do that you need all that stuff?

Did you even read what he wrote? Thats not his car, it's from the man who broke the cross country speed record.

Well then he's the exception to the rule. I've been blown off the road before by these arseholes, weaving in and out of crowded city traffic at 85 miles per hour, with their chase cars behind them doing the same thing.
