Finished product guys...

Removed the tape deck. Ordered a new Bezel and Front Console (just over $100). OK since I got a deal on the Radio.... Cut Bezel for DIN-E mount. Had to Cut rails out of black support bracket behind Bezel. Unfortunately, Chevy doesn't sell this as a separate piece, that's why I got the front console. If you cut the rails, keep the top piece (With the two fish hooks) It's needed to support the top deck -thingy of the Bezel (just below the cigarette plugs).

As far as the wire attachments, I boight a DB-9 kit from RS for $ 1.47. I took the prongs from the kit, attached them to the wires from the scanner, closed with heat shrink and used the prongs to fit the factory plug for the tape player. All three, Positive, Dimmer and Ground are available from the plug....

I'll posts the pin out diagram once I get it drawn.

Really "sanitary" install. And, no lost space anywhere, even for the speaker. Extremely well done!

Trimmed....

You cut out that area of the console for the speaker didn't you? Or at least I don't remember my 2002 Tahoe stopping where you have the Moto speaker!!!
