Forgot to add that you should add these new frequencies to your thunderbird profile. I need to get a Travis AFB AirExpo 2008 update, but the Thunderbirds did use a new frequency there, and they may use new frequencies at Salinas:
http://mt-milcom.blogspot.com/2008/04/late-breaking-news-another-new-tbird.html

The new frequency used was 143.7. I heard it was also in use the following week at the Westover/New England Airshow...

Do you have the F-18 demo frequencies?

As far as I know, the F-18 demos don't have a separate/dedicated discrete frequency. When/if they talk to the ground, I have always heard them on the VHF airboss frequency, or the VHF performer discrete.

During today's practice, the F-18 was on 134.7, which was the airboss frequency.

216.725 Public Address
216.925 Public Address

No ground frequency monitored, since the Thunderbirds were not staging at the demonstration site.

The Thunderbirds were staging out of Monterey airport to perform at the Salinas show site. I had been monitoring the public address frequencies, and heard the boss command that they switch over to victor 1.

After several scan cycles, where I could hear the boss over the PA frequency, but not over any previous frequency, I knew it was time to start searching. Included in the 'previously known' were all the latest additions from Larry Van Horn's Blog:

http://mt-milcom.blogspot.com/2008/04/late-breaking-news-another-new-tbird.html

The scan while search mode on my BCD-396T was useful to let me search the 138-144MHz military airband while looking for a new frequency. I finally got a confirmed hit that I could verify by the voice I had heard over the PA frequency and from my experience in knowing what the boss had sounded like.

you can add this

Airshow IC on Command 1: 152.7200
Airshow Tac Tac1: 152.6300

Reviewing old thread for data...

I see that according to the database:
Monterey County, California (CA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Also see CAL FIRE.

CMD 1, 2 and 3 are used for events or large incidents and are shared with Sheriff.

Frequency License Type Tone Alpha Tag Description Mode Tag
152.72000 107.2 PL MCFD CMD 1 Command 1 FM Fire-Tac
152.81000 107.2 PL MCFD CMD 2 Command 2 FM Fire-Tac

It should be now CMD 1, 2 and 3 are used for events or large incidents and are shared with "law enforcement" All Monterey county law enforcement use those channel's now they refer to them as MOCO 1,2,3. Salinas PD usually use their channel 2 for events.
