We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Got around to installing my Uniden 436. Install was fairly easy.

I bought the fender mount and a Laird antenna.

I have had great luck with a Scoshe magnetic mount that i use for my iPhone (as you can see in one of the pics)

I bought a Ram mount cradle, and using some Gorilla glue adhesive and one screw, I attached the Scoshe magnetic plate to the back of the cradle.

This allows me to easily remove the cradle from the console.

Scoshe dash mounts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I608BJ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ram Mount cradle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QD8Q5Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ran the coax up behind the dash and through the cubby/compartment (drilled a small hole in the back of the pocket).

The only thing I may want is to either do Aux audio to my head unit, or an external speaker.

The install is slightly different now, I am using a ram mount arm and its suction cupped on the front of the center console..which allows the handheld to angle at a better angle to keep the cable from looping up like that.

I'm a big fan of the Scosche phone mounts. I'd considered a similar mount for my 436HP but was concerned the magnets would affect the reception performance.
