Got around to installing my Uniden 436. Install was fairly easy.
I bought the fender mount and a Laird antenna.
I have had great luck with a Scoshe magnetic mount that i use for my iPhone (as you can see in one of the pics)
I bought a Ram mount cradle, and using some Gorilla glue adhesive and one screw, I attached the Scoshe magnetic plate to the back of the cradle.
This allows me to easily remove the cradle from the console.

I ran the coax up behind the dash and through the cubby/compartment (drilled a small hole in the back of the pocket).
The only thing I may want is to either do Aux audio to my head unit, or an external speaker.
