My mobile "Command Center" as my friends call it.
Motorola CM300d and Whistler TRX-2. I use the Motorola CM300d mainly for the farmer I work for who uses a DMR repeater he has on his grain leg. I also use it to monitor my fire fighter frequencies. I use the TRX-2 for monitoring trunked systems and P25 systems in my area. They both work really well for me and I have not had a problem with either one of them. I have had them installed in my truck for almost a year now. I was glad the TRX-2 has a remote head to make mounting a lot easier. I put the scanner under the back seat and installed a speaker or the back of the center console.IMG_0035.jpgIMG_0037.jpgIMG_0038.jpgIMG_0039.jpgIMG_0351.jpgIMG_0173.jpgIMG_0174.jpgIMG_0347.jpgIMG_0350 (1).jpgIMG_0349.jpg

Looks great. The antenna mounted behind the cab seems a bit odd, but if it works for you, that's all that matters. Thanks for posting.

In all honesty, the lack of front end filtering makes a location like that reasonable place.

A friend tried using on on a local 800MHz EDACS system with a roof mounted antenna and it was unusable. He ended up using an antenna mounted inside his vehicle.

Very clean install! And, that truck looks great for a 2010 - looks like new here, especially considering it's 9 years old. Well done! And I'm considering a similar mounting location for moving my scanner antenna; just need to figure out the mount.

That is awesome. Do you worry about the possibility of a drink spilling on that radio mounted next to the cup holder?

I had both my TM-V71A and a NX-700 floor mounted next to the cup holders in a bunch of 60/40 bench seat F-350’s and never had any real issues. Yes come coffee and brinks did splash the controls on my NX-700(TM-V71A was remote mounted) but the NX-700 control head is really easy to remove, disassemble and clean. After years of use, once cleaned up, it looked almost new.
