Icom ID-5100a remote head and Whistler WS-1098 install on dash with Panavise Indash Custom Indash Mount with Pedestal mount and extension bracket. Comet B-10 dual band antenna. PC tel low profile 800mhz antennas.

They work great. Minnesota has a statewide 800mhz trunk system so coverage is pretty good. I also use a multi-coupler to boost signal and protect the receiver. I had 2 scanners in the last truck so worked well.

I like the setup. You can easily find 90 Degree Ethernet cables around the internet (or amazon). :)

Love Panavise mounts…I have two (only one is currently installed) in my 2013 Sierra. I run them straight for HHCHs.

I've got a friend with a 2015 Explorer…I'll have to show him this thread.

I have a 2015 Explorer, what type of microphone mount is that. I have mine in a similar location but I'm having to use an adhesive one and I can't find a clip that works quite like I want.

Your antenna location is about the same as mine.

I agree, that looks pretty slick. He talks about it in the first post and explains what makes it up (if you're like me, the pictures probably got your attention first and you overlooked the text).

Sorry for the late post, attached is photo of the multicoupler for the scanner and I have since added DMR radio Moto XPR 4550. Using Panavise pedestal and extension brackets.
