Can you tell us if the Comet SS460B screws all of the way down to the roof of you truck? I have had two SSB5's and neither has screwed all of the way down -- both have left at least a quarter inch gap...

Yes the comet does screw down to the roof if you use the provided rubber gasket that comes with. If you don't there will likely be a small gap but not a 1/4" gap. Sorry for the delay in the reply.
