So, for years I have been a Ford person. I have owned the following.
Escort
Taurus
3 Explorers
The Explorer I had with the best install was my 2003 Ford Explorer. There is an old thread here but if you wanna see goto cardomain and search for Gary599.

So I separated from the wife and my divorce is now final. We agreed she kept the 2003 explorer but I removed the radios. FYI if you look at the old pics the radios where updated as needed lol. I kept the 2010 explorer but had to either refinance or get rid of so her name was removed from the bank note.

So three months ago went car shopping and ended up with a 2016 Hyundai Tucson 1.6t ultimate.

But I still owned three Uniden scanners 996T and a vertex UHF radio. And I so wanted the home Patrol Scanner with GPS. Because there's no way I was going to mount a full size scanner in the car especially a new car.

So basically I sold two scanners and then last one along with the two-way radio at the pawn shop, are you still with me and traded those for a Uniden 536 HP.

Then I went on a Facebook group for scanners and found someone who wanted to trade their homepatrol 2 for my Uniden 536.

I know long story but it was worth it in the end.

using an adhesive zip tie mount like this:

Secure the gooseneck mount to the side of the console in 1 or 2 places, one as high up the tube as possible. That'll get rid of your wobble.
