Anyone attend the Indy Grand Prix this past weekend? Post your finds here!

I am heading down for the 500 and getting my radios programmed

Here is the spotter guide from the Grand Prix, including the frequencies for each car. IndyCar will post the spotter guide for the 500 once the field is set.

Figured I'd start off the 2019 IMS thread since I was as the track on Saturday for the GP and will be there at least this Friday and race day.

First off, on Saturday the PA was on a different channel (I will post later). Don't know if that will be the case for the full month or if it was just that day.

Anybody with updates feel free to post them here.

Big test for AT&T out there this year... IPSC is setting up an FirstNet Mobile Site at the track, part of the BIG PUSH IPSC is doing for FirstNet this year. So we will see how it goes. (Again, data only for FN, all voice comms are on IDPS and SAFE-T.) And as this will be second year with the new UHF system in use, if everything is same use this season, I will go ahead and put it all in the DB.

That might have been a good list in 2007 when it was posted. Is it still accurate 12 years later?

Race control 468.825 is still the same in 2019. Haven't heard the others but will listen again on Fri (I'm 3 mi away so I may just be out of range)

I have further verified that 461.3125 DCS712 is used by parking staff.

UHF for the track? They finally got their own license last year after using Racing radios freqs for years. One repeater was on Zore's Speedway repeater, I emailed Racing electronics to let them know.

The 450/455 part 74 freqs usually don't have CTCSS for repeater TX or didn't when I was in TV about 10 years ago.

Don't forget to look for their annual HF special event station W9IMS callsign, really cool QSO cards each year!
