Hey guys,
If I could get a quick answer I would greatly appreciate it!!! I'm programming a 246T for a friend and was going over everything to make sure it was in perfect working order. I was trying to enter a frequency of 155.5425 for a local PD and noticed that it was automatically changing it to 155.5450. Is it unable to handle this freq. step??? I'm using the uniden software that he purchased. I'm listening to my 396T on this freq. and picking up the PD just fine but with the 246T changing the freq. , it will not pick up on anything. Is he just SOL or is there another way to change the freq. steps???
Thanks, He will appreciate it. He's a newb, let's help him get into to this fantastic hobby!!!!!

Would it make a difference if I turned of the PL?? It's late and it's not a very active PD at all so I'm unable to test it and I gotta take it back to him tomorrow regardless. Thanks again!!!!

steps....

You can go into the menu on after you program that freq. to steps....adjust step to 7.5 in the settings that should correct that freq you are trying to enter.

Did not work. The only thing I can find is when I go into the scanner configuration and edit it. I go into general search options and all I find is the freq. steps and changed it to 7.5 but this has no effect. Am I going to the wrong place? UASD software

On the screen where you are entering the channel, first put in the frequency in the "Frequency" column (it will round to 155.545).

Then, on that same screen on that same line, go to the "STEP" column and change that from AUTO to 7.5 kHz. When you then click on the frequency, it will be 155.5425.

Yes. After you enter the frequency, scroll to Set Step and change the step to 7.5. The frequency will change back to what you entered.
