What ever happened to that ham repeater 29.66 repeater in the virgin islands. That baby kept me inspired in ham radio for many years till I found the Win system.

I sure miss that bing bong repeater tail!

Anyone know what happened to it and if there is any talk about getting that repeater up and running again?

I remember listening to that repeater on my hand held bearcat 100xlt back in '90-'91 when I was 15. It used to really boom here in middle TN. I still pause on that freq when I find 10 open from time to time just out of wishful thinking I guess. Never knew what happened to it.

When I lived in the Fort Worth area several years ago we heard that the VI repeater was damaged in a hurricane in the early 90's or so and the owner moved back to the states. I don't think anybody ever put one back on the air there. Listen for the W5DFW 29.66 repeater in Fort Worth. It should still be there and probably still running 350 watts.
