Fairfax County is adding 3 additional radio towers. They will be in West Centreville (Lee Hy/PW Co Line), Beacon Hill (on the water tower) and Tysons (Rt123/Leesburg Pi). They should all be operational within 90 days. This will really help reception I hope. Units on Rt1 complain about a lot of dead spots. This should also elimnate the need for using the 4l/4M channels for the Fire Dept. :)

Are they up and running yet? I am hoping that the one in Beacon Hill will improve reception while I am at work in Alexandria inside a building.

Hey good to see you on here. I spoke the radio guy from Fairfax this morning. He said the new Beacon Hill tower should be up and running soon, within the next several weeks. Hope that will help the guys at 11. The Tysons tower is still a little ways off. :)
