Elev:4,000 Feet Plus
Eastern Sierra Nevada Range
(East of Lake Tahoe)

Searching 29.5000 mhz through 42.0000mhz
Picking up a lot of Stations from N/E and S/E
One station i havent been able to I.D.

34.4350 mhz Tone 110.9 hz
(U.S.Govt Band allocation)
Repeater with Fire Dept Traffic on it.
Continuously busy system that sounds like Voting System.
Plain English with no dialect
Very strong signal with a bit of fading.
Anyone know who this is?
Is it on a Military installation even though freq is not standard 34.4300 mhz.
Is it possibbly in Canada?
This one escapes me.

Using Uniden BCT15 w/RG8X Coax to a 5/8 Wave 27 Mhz Antenna height 20 feet
(Works extremely well over the entire Low Band)

yup
Long long time ago - maybe 1975 - IIRC there was a repeater on 36.90 that had 33.90 as the input. Lots of USA fire/ems traffic used to come thru that repeater. I seem to recall that the repeater was in the Caribbean or South America.

I haven't had a really ggod outside low band antenna for almost 20 years. Back then there used to be a lot of foreign repeaters on low band running carrier squelch. One place I lived the local gas company was on 48.46 and I used to hear them on some repeater around 34 or 36 MHz if I remember right.
