I have a 346xt set up right now with the local channels and will be doing many cross country adventures. I am looking for one download that i can upload to my radio (freescan or arcxt) Perferably with the QK's as one for each state.

Just need Police/Highway/Sheriffs TACs, Car to Car, and Car to Air.

I would love to hook up to the GPS antenna and have it auto change per state if possible. I am semi new to scanning. The shop i bought it from is no longer doing this so I am resorting to asking for help on this.

thank you

im thinking try to get someones freescan or arcxt file who has a 396XT or 996XT (preloaded with US freqs). So someone re-set thier scanner, re-load the pre-programmed systems, copy whats on the pre-loaded systems into freescan, send you thier file

Just note they will be digital and analog items in that pre-loaded file and you wonthear the digital.

But that should be a pretty good starting point and the work is already done.

Remember YOU have to set the quick keys up. That's something none of the software out there will do for you. And with so many areas going digital, I can see the 346 is going to be somewhat limited in such areas.

best regards..Mike

Yep. Central NC is all digital. There is a Freescan starter file for NC in the NC forum
but it is of limited value to a 346XT. But he is more than welcome to download it
and give it a shot! :)
One contiguous file for the entire US would be tough to find.....unless you decide
to get a HomePatrol HP-1. Then you can carry the entire US & Canada with you always!

It is possible that somebody else has already done this and has a file they could send you, but I wouldn't count on it. If somebody does, then you can use Freescan to load/import it (Freescan can import pretty much any file from all programs used with DMA scanners, so you're not limited to just a 346XT file, or just freescan file).

My advice is to become a premium subscriber here on RR (you can buy a 90 day subscription for only $7.50) and import and configure your own systems.

You can choose which systems in each state you want to import (for example, you can import just the state police / highway patrol for each state and nothing else) and the GPS coordinates are already in the files you will import. You can set the SQKs in any order you want (perhaps set them in the order you will be traveling?).

It may be more work than just loading an existing profile, but importing through Freescan is pretty easy, and you will only need to import the systems from the states that you will be passing through.

Good luck :)
