• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

The bottom two lines will always appear. Third line up from the bottom can be changed on the BCT15 & BCD996T (mode 1 / mode 2) displays. There is no way to just turn these lines on or off. Another display option is Active Channel display.

To change from mode 1 or mode 2 on the BCT15 & BCD996T press HOLD - FUNC - 0 . this only changes the info on the third line up from the bottom. If you are seeing the freq on the second line down from the top, you can change that in the menu by using edit name in the menu system.

Active channel display works only for trunked systems....

push function and then "no" button to switch between the frequency and active channel..

As far as I know there is no way to remove those lines from the display
