396 digital question.

I am waiting for the arrival of my new 396 digital scanner, my first ever digital model.
Question, I have a couple of freqs I will monitor that are APCO 25. Both are conventional freqs and are NOT part of a trunk system. From what I have read, do I enter these freqs as conventional FM, or do I enter something different. If it is conventional FM, does the scanner automatically detect and decode the digital audio?

Just enter them as conventional. As long as you don't program a CTCSS or DCS tone (or tone search) on the channel, the scanner will automatically detect and decode the P25 signal.
