I read Junior's thread with interest. I have programmed my 396T for the 800mHz DC channels using ARC396 and the interface to transfer data from here at RR. Well, for some odd reason, the scanner is succesfully been programmed for and is receiving from Montgomery, Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, but not DC. Do I need to program the scanner for both 400 and 800? Will the download programming from RR contain the correct step info? Anything anyone can do to get me set straight would be helpful. I'm a little new at this and trying to figure stuff out... thanks.....Art

If you want fire, use 800. If you want MPD, use 460 with proper offsets. Talkgroups are not normally simulcast between systems, with few exceptions.

And to add to ResQguy's post, these are seperate systems... so if you want to hear both, you will have to program them as seperate systems. Also, don't forget that the PD side (460) has two tables.

OOK ... now is dispatch on something other than 800 in fire/ems?

FD Dispatch is TG 1616 on the 800 system. It is also simulcast on 154.190, the old conventional dispatch frequnecy.

Thanks

I am solving the mysteries slowly but surely! Thank goodness I can erase the errors in the scanner and start again with the correct stuff... thanks to all!
