I'm a little embarrassed to ask this but I cannot seem to recall how to scroll up and down the frequencies/channels in a single non-trunked group on my 396XT.
I don't use it a whole lot, I'm sure I was able to do this before, I just can't recall how.
I didn't find it in the 396XT Easier Guide either. sigh. & Thanx

Also, what is the 'manual' button' on a 396? I don't see it on the 396. I know it exists on all of the simpler scanners and scrolling thru entries is easy on them.

The button is called Hold just above the Scan button. When the unit is scanning, push the HOLD button and it will stop scanning, then turn the knob on top of the scanner clockwise to go up thru the frequencies or counter clockwise to go down thru the frequencies. To restart scanning, press the Scan button.

To turn Close Call On or Off, while scanning, push the HOLD button to stop on a channel, then press FUNC (upper left side of scanner) and let go, then press HOLD again to toggle thru Close Call Priority, Close Call DND or OFF. In other word, press and release the HOLD button until you see OFF.
