396xt service search ?

I have had my 396xt a whole 2 hours now and had a quick question. I have had the 346 for a year, so I am a little famliar with the layout. The question, when doing the public service search , there is no 700mhz in the search, is that correct? I realize the 396 can do that range and isn't a big deal, just assumed it would be in that search. By the way AWESOME products Uniden (UPman) both radios are great. Mike

Just a guess, but I suspect that the Public Service Band on the 396XT does not include the 700MHz band because it uses the narrow bandwidth, so you couldn't really use the control channel only feature. You could set something up for the 700MHz band limits in your custom search range.

Thanks for the reply DaveIN. I actually did set up a custon search the way you suggested. I didnt even think about the bandwidth issue, I am guessing you are right though. I have to say I REALLY like this scanner. The 346 is awesome, but the 396 is just unreal! Thanks again, Mike
