Hi everyone. My 396xt sporadically skips during voice transmissions. Does anyone know why this happens and does anyone know how to fix this ? Thanks in advance for yor help,

sounds to me that you have priority turned on. Turn priority off or change it to longer check intervals in the main menu.

Another possibility...
...since you said the skip is sporadic (i.e., it is not occurring at regular intervals), it might be that the squelch is set just a hair too high. Try turning the squelch down a notch or two and see if that helps...
